Please discuss with your General Practitioner/ Specialist to see if you need to referral to see us as we always work in collaboration.
Once you have a referral, please email it to us at- admin@megumihealth.com.au and speak to one of our receptionists to help you with making an appointment.
Do I need private health insurance?
It is not necessary to have private health insurance, but it may help to cover the costs.
What do I bring?
All relevant scans & reports. This includes x-ray, CT, MRI, bone scan, ultrasound and nerve conduction studies.
List of your current medication including dose and frequency
Summaries of relevant treatment
Recent blood test
Support person
What happens during the consultation?
Revisit your symptoms.
Perform a physical assessment.
Evaluate your medical history, treatment, scans, and investigations.
Other relevant aspects including impact of pain on your physical and psychological health.
Order diagnostic tests
A tailored treatment plan will be made together with you which may include trial of a medication, offering a specific intervention, referring to allied health for physical and psychological wellbeing and provision of further guidance on self-management strategies
How long will the visit take?
1st visit- please arrive 20 mins prior to your appointment to complete your registration paperwork if this has not been completed. The 1st consultation will usually take an hour.
Subsequent consultations will be about 30 mins.
Is videoconferencing available?
Yes, we offer videoconferencing.
Preference however will be for a face-to-face consultation during the initial consultation to complete your assessment.
